Anthony Antiques & Art Supplies has revamped their inventory and changed their name. The co-owner who focused on the art supplies has moved out of state so that inventory has been eliminated and in its place the Antiques will be expanding into both rooms. They will be keeping the beads and jewelry making tools. The store is now called “Anthony Antiques & Gifts”. Stop by soon to see the changes.

    To: Valued Button Hole Customers:

It is with sadness and regret we notify you of the closing of The
Button Hole. This decision has not come easily, and is one that is
    very difficult to make.

Over the past few years it has become more difficult to make the
business profitable. After reducing inventory and expenses, it was
our hope the financial situation would improve. But, that has not
    been the case.

We appreciate your patronage and support the past ten years and the
friendships developed with many of you.

A liquidation sale will begin Monday, January 12, 2009 with all
in-store merchandise 35% to 50% off the original marked price, and
will continue until the merchandise has been sold.

We will continue to honor gift certificates, for in-store or phone
orders, but no other discounts or coupons can be used during the
    liquidation.

Robert Shultis will continue to provide service work for Pfaff
machines, and other general repair. The drop off location will be at
our book store, next to The Button Hole. Also, we will be contacting
those of you that have purchased a Pfaff machine from The Button Hole
and schedule a time for training on the use of your machine.

Again, thank you for your support. – The Button Hole, McPherson Kansas

From Country Dumplings in Cimarron, Kansas
Mark your calendars for April 29th to May 2nd; as nationally recognized quilter, appraiser, and teacher Kathy Kansier returns to Cimarron for another exciting week-end of classes, lectures and quilt appraisals. Kathy was born and raised in Wisconsin and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. She has been married for 30 years and makes her home in Ozark, MO. Kathy served as a missionary to Mexico for seven years and travels nationally and internationally to provide her professional quilting & appraisal
    services.

I couldn’t be more excited and honored to have Kathy return to our community for another week-end of teaching and appraising. Kathy is an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser and will be again be offering her appraisal services throughout the week. Cost for each appraisal is $40, and for each quilt you want appraised you must sign up for a 30-minute slot, plus fill out paper work on the quilt.

The classes she will teach include Wool Applique Art Purse ($20); Let’s Go Fishing ($20); The Basics of Hand Quilting ($20); and Quilts with Great Edges ($30). All these classes have a supply list and kit fee that are needed to participate in the classes.

Kathy’s class sizes will be limited so I urge you to call or stop by the store to register as soon as possible. More details regarding the week-end’s activities and classes will be coming later.
